I have worked steadily as an instructional student assistant in my major's department since I began attending as a full-time student at Cal Poly Pomona. I have become proficient in operating in-house specialty machines, such as direct-to-garment printing, FDM 3D printing, embroidery, and colorfastness fabric testing. I have developed strong leadership, time-management, and communication skills by teaching and demonstrating to fellow students how to properly use each machine through hands-on experience.
Machines Handbook
This I.S.A handbook contains standard operational procedures, tips, and other resources needed to operate specialty apparel production machines located in-house at the AMM department at Cal Poly Pomona. While I gained a foundational understanding of each machine through basic training, most information is from hands-on experiences and research.
The objective behind this self-assigned project was to convert all of my notes into a helpful digital handbook containing standard operational procedures to teach that students, faculty, and future instructional student assistants at AMM can utilize and expand further.
